Owner
- Hi everyone, my name is Bob Norman, and I'm the owner/operator of Art of Thai Massage & Spa. I took over the business on September 1, 2021. I began this journey as a customer, about three years ago. I became friends with Phada, who owned the shop at the time.
I have been an ambulance paramedic with BCEHS for 37 years, working all over the lower mainland, including my last 12 years in Chilliwack. Overlapping this career, I returned to teaching new paramedics, working at the Justice Institute of BC, here at the Education Park in Chilliwack. I formally retired from it all in March of 2021. Not one to sit and do nothing, Phada presented the idea of me purchasing the business. Lots of research, family discussions and financial calculations. and here we are!
As a customer, I came to know the staff here, and was impressed with their knowledge, abilities and dedication to their craft. Completely different personalities, but identical commitment to the welfare of the shop and each other. It is an honour and a privilege to work with them. They have been (mostly) patient with me, and every day teach me more and more about running the shop better.
I'm now 5 months in, and I'm excited about the direction we are going. Maly has joined the team, providing pedicure, manicure and sugaring services. We now have the pedicure chair plumbing installed, so Maly can now offer all of the services. I will be offering some introductory price reductions for combination massage/pedicure, massage/manicure, massage/sugaring and body scrub/mani, pedi or sugaring.-
